Influencer marketing case studies.
Creator and influencer campaigns for South African and European brands, reported on what people did next: views, saves, shares, clicks and time on site.
Big ideas need big tribes.
Chicken Licken wanted to take Soul Food to the world, so we built the tribe to carry it: 420+ Soulfluencers, cast, briefed and live in record time.
The creators' own videos then became the campaign landing page, so the content kept working after the posts went live.
From page two to page one.
Jon Renau is a premium wig and topper brand in a category that carries stigma. We shortlisted 40 South African creators and contracted three who live the hair-loss story, then let them tell it in their own words.
The best posts were boosted from the creators’ own handles and republished as shoppable video on the client’s site. People watched, then went to Google and typed the brand name.
Creator content first.
Cantu wanted its Protective Styles range shown inside real hair routines. We hired 11 creators across three tiers, one macro, four mid-tier and six micro, and published in two waves over five months.
Paid media went only behind content that had already proven itself, and every channel pointed to one shoppable hub. Every paid channel beat its benchmark.
Meanwhile in South Ahh.
Sir Fruit turned 40 and asked us to capture the heart and soul of the country. Ten creators, one hub, and a country that showed up.
Creator content as the campaign, not a bolt-on: the films drove people to a campaign site where they stayed and took part.
A meal for every moment.
Real creators, real kitchens, real moments, from date night at home to movie night with the crew.
One idea, cut for every platform: live across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Half the engagement rate. 5x the shares.
Two creators, one hotel, the same number of views. One delivered a 15% engagement rate, the other 6.5%. Most campaign reports would call that a clear win and move on. Then we looked at what people did next.
For the creator with the lower engagement rate, 1 in 7 engagements was a share. For the other it was 1 in 86. Likes show who enjoyed it. Saves and shares show who is planning to go.
Hand creators the mic. Watch the numbers move.
Nando's has one of the sharpest brand voices in South Africa. For 2023 the brief was to stop guarding it and hand it over. A cohort of 16 creators took on four national promotions: What Saucery Is This? for Easter, Hot Pot for Mzansi's Hot Plots in winter, Pull the Stick Out in spring and Oversharing for the festive season. Each creator told the joke in their own way, to their own audience.
Tribeez sourced, briefed and managed the creators alongside VML. The content built both awareness and conversion, and it was designed to make the meal feel familiar enough to order. Nando's own TikTok and Instagram audiences more than doubled over the year, and the programme returned more than it cost.
